Therapeutic approaches for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) have dramatically changed over the recent past. In parallel, quantification of minimal residual disease (MRD) proved to be an independent prognostic factor for progression-free and overall survival. The European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) in collaboration with American and Australasian partners developed harmonised assays that could be applied reproducibly to compare the efficacy of different treatments. The potential for MRD analysis to identify the most effective treatments prior to reaching survival endpoints was recognised by regulatory agencies and approved as an intermediate endpoint for licensure in randomized studies, in Europe. More recently treatment approaches have evolved, in particular with BCL2-pathway inhibitors, so that MRD analysis may be informative for most patients and clinical trials, potentially becoming a tool for managing CLL patients in clinical practice. In the recent past the importance of the type of MRD assay used, the most appropriate timing and compartment to assess for different treatment types have been learnt as we move towards eradicating residual disease beyond the guideline threshold of one cell in ten thousand. Nowadays, MRD assessment in CLL has quickly become an indispensable tool for clinical research and development that promise to change the way we manage our patients in the future.

Introduction: Craniopharyngiomas are challenging benign tumors arising from Rathke's pouch remnants, often requiring multidisciplinary management due to their proximity to critical neurovascular structures. This meta-analysis systematically compares conventional radiation therapy (RT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (RS) in treating residual or recurrent craniopharyngiomas.
Method: A comprehensive literature search identified 44 studies, including 46 reports, meeting inclusion criteria such as progression-free survival (PFS) and post-radiotherapy complications.

Introduction: Equivocal or negative pituitary magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings raise a significant challenge in the management of persistent or recurrent Cushing's disease (CD), compromising the chances of success of a further transsphenoidal surgery (TSS). The aim of our study was to determine the diagnostic utility of 11C-methionine (MET) positron emission tomography coupled with computerized tomography (PET/CT) in localizing the residual or relapsing corticotroph adenoma.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the results of 11C-MET PET/CT performed in two tertiary medical centers between May 2002 and November 2023 in 22 patients with a persisting or recurrent CD after initial TSS and equivocal or negative pituitary MRI findings.

Background: Hepatobiliary stone disease involves an intrahepatic bile duct stone that occurs above the confluence of the right and left hepatic ducts. One-step percutaneous transhepatic cholangioscopic lithotripsy (PTCSL) using the percutaneous transhepatic one-step biliary fistulation (PTOBF) technique enables the clearing of intrahepatic stones and the resolution of strictures. However, hepatolithiasis with associated strictures still has high residual and recurrence rates after one-step PTCSL.
