Producing oral soft tissues using tissue engineering could compensate for the disadvantages of autologous grafts (limited availability and increased patient morbidity) and currently available substitutes (shrinkage). However, there is a lack of in vitro-engineered oral tissues due to the difficulty of obtaining stable pre-vessels that connect to the host and enable graft success. The main objective was to assess the connection of pre-vascularised 3D-bioprinted gingival substitutes to the host vasculature when subcutaneously implanted in immunodeficient mice.

Objectives: To longitudinally follow up a cohort of patients with autotransplanted teeth, assessing how the timing of starting orthodontic treatment impacts root length.
Materials And Methods: Patients under 18 with at least one open-apex autotransplanted premolar (AP) replaced to a central incisor position were included. Root/crown ratio (RCR) was calculated on periapical radiographs taken at intervals of 3-6 months after transplantation.

Purpose: Several forms of autogenous tooth graft have been presented. However, it is still unclear which form provides better bone formation and is the best to use clinically. This network meta-analysis aimed to thoroughly evaluate the available literature on the ability of different forms of the autogenous tooth graft to promote bone regeneration, in order to explore if any specific type or method of processing would result in better overall outcomes.

Background: Metastatic spine tumor surgery (MSTS) is often complex and extensive leading to significant blood loss. Allogeneic blood transfusion (ABT) is the mainstay of blood replenishment but with immune-mediated postoperative complications. Alternative blood management techniques (salvaged blood transfusion [SBT]) allow us to overcome such complications.

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a rare hematologic malignancy with a 5-year survival rate of 52 %. For transplant-eligible MM patients, high-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) is recommended. Given the complexities of the ASCT procedure, understanding patient-specific factors and their impact on treatment decisions is essential.
