Germinal centers (GCs) in secondary lymphoid organs generate large numbers of apoptotic B cells that must be eliminated by phagocytes to prevent the development of autoimmune diseases. Although tingible body macrophages engulf apoptotic GC B cells, whether stromal cells are also involved in this process is unclear. In this study, we identified marginal reticular cells (MRCs) as novel nonprofessional phagocytes for the clearance of apoptotic GC B cells in the spleen. We used CD19 (CD19Z/EG) mice, which express enhanced GFP (eGFP) under the control of CD19 expression, to track B cells in the GCs after immunization with NP-chicken γ globulin plus aluminum salt. We demonstrated that the MRC population, as determined by expression of podoplanin or , specifically showed an eGFP signal in the cytoplasm after immunization. These results suggest that MRCs contribute to the clearance of apoptotic B cells in GCs.

Objective: Our study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of the Kuntai capsule in improving ovarian function in rats with transplantation of cryopreserved ovary.

Methods: Two mice ovary cell lines were cultured with Kuntai capsule decoction, and cell apoptosis was detected by MTT assay. A total of 90 SPF Sprague Dawley rats were included in this study.

Myocardial infarction (MI) is a coronary artery-related disease that seriously threatens human life and is the leading cause of sudden death worldwide, where a lack of nutrients and oxygen leads to an inflammatory response and death of cardiomyocytes. Ferroptosis is a form of non-apoptotic cell death associated with metabolic dysfunction, resulting in abnormal breakdown of glutamine and iron-dependent accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) during metabolism. However, the molecular mechanism of ferroptosis in the pathogenesis of MI and the function of Klotho and KRAS on ferroptosis during MI remain unclear.

5-FU is a widely used chemotherapy drug for esophageal carcinomas, but therapy failure has been observed in 5-FU-resistant patients. Overcoming this resistance is a significant challenge in cancer treatment, requiring identifying and targeting important resistance mechanisms. PYGO2 expression is crucial in developing resistance to various chemotherapy drugs.

Docetaxel (DTX) is widely utilized in breast cancer treatment. However, cancer cell resistance has limited its anti-tumor efficacy. Some molecules called microRNAs (miRNAs), acting like fine-tuned switches, can influence how breast cancer develops and spreads.

The CDKN2A gene, responsible for encoding the tumor suppressors p16(INK4A) and p14(ARF), is frequently inactivated in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Herein, an uncharacterized long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) (ENSG00000267053) on chromosome 19p13.12 was found to be overexpressed in NSCLC cells with an active, wild-type CDKN2A gene.
