We describe three male neonates where infant feeding tube (IFT) passed 18-20 cm in the upper esophageal pouch. A blunt-tipped red rubber catheter confirmed esophageal atresia (EA) with long upper pouch in all three cases. Definitive management revealed EA with tracheoesophageal fistula and long overlapping upper esophageal pouch consistent with Kluth Type IIIb variant in two patients. Importance of using red rubber catheter at the pediatric practice instead of IFT is stressed.

Homozygous 9p21 deletions usually result in a complete loss of S-methyl-5'-thioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) expression visualizable by immunohistochemistry (IHC). MTAP deficiency has been proposed as a marker for predicting targeted treatment response. A tissue microarray including 2,710 urothelial bladder carcinomas were analyzed for 9p21 deletion by fluorescence in situ hybridization and MTAP expression by IHC.

Introduction: This report aims to present our initial miniseries of successful thoracoscopic repair for esophageal atresia (EA) and distal tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) of Kluth type Ⅲb3 in accordance with Kluth's classification.
Methods: From January 2012 to January 2024, ten patients with Kluth type Ⅲb3 EA-TEF were treated by thoracoscopic surgery. The therapeutic methods and surgical outcomes were retrospectively reviewed.

Trefoil factor 1 (TFF1) plays a role in the mucus barrier. To evaluate the prevalence of TFF1 expression in cancer, a tissue microarray containing 18,878 samples from 149 tumor types and 608 samples of 76 normal tissue types was analyzed through immunohistochemistry (IHC). TFF1 staining was detectable in 65 of 149 tumor categories.
