Background: Review of injuries resulting from aircraft accidents and analysis of their mechanisms have proved helpful in generating and implementing survival-related improvements. Ideally, such information should be correlated with seat belt type and use, as well as any brace position adopted. This information should be recorded and made publicly available to future researchers.
Methods: Members of IBRACE have developed two questionnaires to assist accident / cabin-safety investigators to record this information in an integrated consistent manner.
Results: One questionnaire relates to the survivors and one to the deceased.
Discussion: IBRACE members hope that these questionnaires will assist the investigation of future aircraft accidents.Davies JM, Wallace WA, Colton CL, Yoo KI, Maurino M. Two aviation accident investigation questionnaires for passenger and crew survival factors and injuries. Aerosp Med Hum Perform. 2018; 89(5):483-486.

Aero-engines, particularly turbofan engines, are highly complex systems that play a critical role in the aviation industry. As core components of modern aircraft, they provide the thrust necessary for flight and are essential for safe and efficient operations. However, the complexity and interconnected nature of these engines also make them vulnerable to failures and, in the context of intelligent systems, potential cyber-attacks.

This article examines the dual effects of occupational health and safety cost (OHSC) fluctuations due to the occupational accident number (OAN), and the impact of the OAN on operating period costs (OPCs). Initially, OHSCs, OANS and other operational data from the company were compiled to build a foundational infrastructure. Subsequently, econometric analysis using regression techniques was conducted to identify relationships between OHSCs and OANs, and between OHSCs and OPCs.

Numerous risky driving behaviours are considered the main causes of road accidents. Meanwhile, a number of studies conducted so far indicate that perceiving a higher risk in a certain behaviour is associated with a lower tendency to engage in that behaviour. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to examine whether there are differences in specific types of risky behaviours behind the wheel in relation to drivers' perceptions of road risk.
