This article briefly describes the services provided by Chinese health science libraries and the factors which influence service provision. Driven by new technologies and national initiatives, the key services delivered by Chinese health libraries in the last 10 years have been research support services (such as research impact assessment, support for data management), evidence-based medicine, systematic reviews, the promotion of health information literacy, and the development of institutional repositories. Abnormal development and mortality in early life stages pose significant threats to the growth and continuation of fish populations. Tris(2,4-di--butylphenyl) phosphate (TDtBPP) is a novel organophosphate ester contaminant detected in natural waters. However, the potential effects of maternal exposure to TDtBPP on the early development of offspring embryos in fish remain unknown.

Introduction: This systematic review examines how extreme temperatures impact Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) morbidity and mortality, focusing on identifying vulnerable subpopulations.
Methods: We conducted a systematic literature search from January 1, 2000, to November 6, 2024, across databases like PubMed, MEDLINE and EMBASE, Web of Science, and Scopus, focusing on observational studies that quantitatively defined extreme temperatures and their impacts on COPD morbidity and mortality. Out of 3140 records, 25 studies met the inclusion criteria.

Background And Aims: Antioxidants, including vitamin E (VE) and grape seed extract (GSE), as anti-aging supplementation have been widely used to improve human health. The gut microbiota plays a crucial role in health and affects the treatment effect of various interventions. However, the role of gut microbiota in VE remains unclear.

Huangjiu, a traditional alcoholic beverage, presents a complex fermentation ecosystem primarily influenced by specific fungal species. This study utilized a culture-dependent approach and amplicon sequencing to explore fungal community succession during Huangjiu fermentation. Key fungi identified include Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Aspergillus species (flavus, oryzae, niger), Saccharomycopsis fibuligera, Thermomyces lanuginosus, Rhizopus arrhizus, Issatchenkia orientalis, Wickerhamomyces anomalus, and Diutina rugosa.

Human norovirus (HuNoV) and human sapovirus (HuSaV) are the common foodborne viruses that can be transmitted through the consumption of contaminated shellfish. With the rise of e-commerce, these platforms have become an important channel for Chinese consumers to purchase seafood products. However, the potential impact of this new commercial model on viral contamination necessitates further investigation.
