Introduction Aim: It was to determine the factors influencing the prognosis of the second twin's delivery.
Methods: The study was retrospective and covered all cases of twin births registered at our maternity from 1January 2007 to 31 December 2016 (10 years).
Results: We recorded 34,899 deliveries among which 1374 twin deliveries (2.54%). Almost 15% were primiparous; 39.16% were referred; 69.10% and 15.5% without prenatal care. The factors negatively influencing prognosis for second twin were: a delay>15 minutes between twin deliveries, delayed caesarean section, non-qualification of the midwife, monochoreal, low birth weight. Otherwise parity and obstetric maneuvers had no influence on the prognosis 2 twin.
Conclusion: The prognosis of 2 twinisstronglyinfluenced by a birth delay> 15 minutes, the other factors acting as cofactors.

Objective: This study aims to demonstrate the impact of sarcopenia on the prognosis of early breast cancer and its role in early multimodal intervention.
Methods: The clinical data of patients (n=285) subjected to chemotherapy for early-stage breast cancer diagnosed pathologically between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2020, in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Accordingly, the recruited subjects were divided into sarcopenia (n=85) and non-sarcopenia (n=200) groups according to CT diagnosis correlating with single-factor and multifactorial logistic regression analyses.

Trauma and burns are leading causes of death and significant global health concerns. RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) play a crucial role in post-transcriptional gene regulation, influencing various biological processes of cellular RNAs. This study aims to review the emerging trends and key areas of research on RBPs in the context of trauma and burns.

Traumatic cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage from skull base fractures increases the risk of bacterial meningitis, which is associated with a high mortality rate in adults, and commonly results in severe neurological outcomes. While most cases of CSF leakage occur within three months post-injury and generally resolve spontaneously, delayed-onset meningitis remains a challenging complication. Herein, we report a rare case of severe bacterial meningitis with an intraventricular abscess one year following a frontal skull base fracture, despite no CSF leak.

However, some of these children may experience poor outcomes, including death. However, it is necessary to predict the prognosis for critically ill patients as early as possible to commence triage as well as an early and effective intervention to prevent mortality.

Thanks to the identification of crucial molecular pathways, the therapeutic landscape for advanced differentiated thyroid tumors (DTCs) has significantly improved during the last ten years. The therapeutic scenario has been greatly impacted by the discovery of mutually exclusive gene changes in the MAPK and PI3K/AKT pathways, such as or fusions and pathogenic mutations of the and genes. Indeed, multi-kinase inhibitors and selective inhibitors have demonstrated outstanding efficacy for radioactive iodine-refractory (RAI-R) drug treatment, with overall response rates reaching up to 86%.
