To evaluate the efficacy of cryopreservation of all blastocysts for future transfers in stimulated cycles. We carried out fresh blastocyst transfer cycles on day 5 ( = 290) or day 6 ( = 119) and thawed blastocyst transfer cycles that were frozen on day 5 ( = 136), day 6 ( = 71) or day 6 electively ( = 21). We retrospectively compared the clinical outcome of fresh blastocyst transfers with thawed blastocyst transfers according to the day of blastocyst transfer or freezing. The clinical implantation rates in women with stimulated cycles were significantly higher after the transfer of thawed blastocysts compared with the transfer of fresh blastocysts (day 5,  < 0.0005; day 6,  < 0.00005). Although the implantation rate of fresh day 6 transfer cycles was lower than that of elective day 6 frozen-thawed cycles, this difference was not statistically significant ( = 0.17). Thawed blastocysts demonstrated a better potential for implantation when compared with fresh blastocysts in stimulated cycles. We concluded that elective cryopreservation of all blastocysts on day 5 is an effective option to improve the clinical outcome in stimulated cycles. Additionally, with cryopreservation of all day 6 blastocysts, the implantation rates of first embryo transfers may increase by allowing the best-quality blastocysts to be transferred in thawed cycles. Exploring the Internal Environmental Changes of Muscle Cells and Apoptotic Phase of Mitochondria in Dry-Cured Loin Using Electrical Stimulation: Promoting the Precise Regulation of Loin Ham Quality.

Traditional dry-curing methods have a long cycle time and low efficiency, resulting in the inconsistent quality of dry-cured ham. By applying electrical stimulation (ES) technology in the dry-curing process, it was found that ES affected mitochondrial apoptosis by modulating the intracellular environment of muscle cells, which, in turn, enhanced the quality of dry-cured pork loin. Specifically, ES accelerated glycogen and ATP depletion, which led to a rapid decline in pH.

Antimony (Sb) contamination in water resources poses a critical environmental and health challenge globally. Sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) are employed to reduce SO to S for removing Sb in a microbial electrolysis cell (MEC). Yet, the reduction efficiency of reducing SO and Sb(Ⅴ) through SRB remains relatively low, and the underlying mechanism remains elusive.

Microbial competition for iron determines its availability to the ferrous wheel.

Iron plays a pivotal role in regulating ocean primary productivity. Iron is supplied from diverse sources such as the atmosphere and the geosphere, and hence iron biogeochemical research has focused on identifying and quantifying such sources of "new" iron. However, the recycling of this new iron fuels up to 90% of the productivity in vast oceanic regions.

Background: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a noninvasive cancer treatment that works by using light to stimulate the production of excessive cytotoxic reactive oxygen species (ROS), which effectively eliminates tumor cells. However, the therapeutic effects of PDT are often limited by tumor hypoxia, which prevents effective tumor cell elimination. The oxygen (O) consumption during PDT can further exacerbate hypoxia, leading to post-treatment adverse events.

Unlabelled: Current influenza vaccination approaches protect against specific viral strains, but do not consistently induce broad and long-lasting protection to the diversity of circulating influenza viruses. Single-cycle viruses delivered to the respiratory tract may offer a promising solution as they safely express a diverse array of viral antigens by undergoing just one round of cell infection in their host and stimulate broadly protective resident memory T-cell responses in the lung. We have previously developed a vaccine candidate called S-FLU, which is limited to a single cycle of infection by inactivation of the hemagglutinin signal sequence and induces a broadly cross-reactive T-cell response and antibodies to neuraminidase, but fails to induce neutralizing antibodies to hemagglutinin after intranasal administration.
