Fractures of the capitate bone are the second most common injury to a child's wrist but are rarely encountered in isolation. This is reflected in the paucity of described cases in the literature. Their true incidence is unknown as they often do not appear on plain radiographs and may heal without immobilisation. The easiest way to detect these fractures is with an MRI scan. The authors present a rare case of isolated capitate fracture that was initially missed on plain films. This case is important as it highlights the need for a high index of suspicion in paediatric patients with unresolving wrist pain.

To measure the life quality, clinical-functional outcomes of a patient who had undergone acute reconstruction of radio scapho capitate (RSC), radio lunate (RLL) ligaments, using brachiorradialis tendon in treatment of radiocarpal fracture dislocation. 21-years-old, man with radiocarpal fracture dislocation in his left wrist, after motorcycle accident. Percutaneous screw fixation of the distal radius and acute reconstruction of the RSC and RLL was performed, assisted by arthroscopy.

Purpose: Osteoporosis, affecting over 200 million individuals, often remains unrecognized and untreated, increasing the risk of fractures in older adults. Osteoporosis is typically diagnosed with bone mineral density (BMD) measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). This study aims to develop DeepDXA-Hand, a deep learning model using the efficient CNN-based deep learning architecture, for opportunistic osteoporosis screening from hand radiographs.
