Because there has not been a randomized controlled trial on the validity of preplacement screening radiography of the low back, the author assesses this procedure indirectly by reviewing empirical evidence concerning its usefulness in industrial settings and by evaluating it against the basic requirements of a successful screening test.

Background: We aimed to investigate the potential correlation between the placement factors of various retrievable inferior vena cava filters and retrieval outcomes. Additionally, we aimed to identify the factors affecting the placement tilt of the filter.
Methods: This retrospective study was conducted at a tertiary care center to investigate patients who had previously undergone retrievable filter placement at our center and who subsequently had their filters removed between January 2020 and December 2021.

Background: The association between inpatient education programs (IEPs) for patients with pre-dialysis chronic kidney disease (CKD) and new-onset cardiovascular disease (CVD) after initiating dialysis is unclear.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2018, evaluating CKD patients who were divided into two groups based on whether or not they participated in IEPs. The primary outcome was a new-onset CVD event after initiating dialysis.
