Background: Glaucoma, particularly open-angle glaucoma (OAG), is a leading cause of irreversible blindness, associated with optic nerve damage, retinal ganglion cell death, and visual field defects. Corneal biomechanical properties and cellular components, such as corneal nerve and keratocyte densities assessed by in vivo confocal microscopy (IVCM), may serve as biomarkers for glaucoma progression. This study aimed to explore the relationship between corneal nerve parameters, keratocyte density, and optical coherence tomography (OCT)-derived retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) patients and controls.

Background: Uterine injury can cause uterine scarring, leading to a series of complications that threaten women's health. Uterine healing is a complex process, and there are currently no effective treatments. Although our previous studies have shown that bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) promote uterine damage repair, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.

Background: The underlying shoulder pathology in radiographic superior escape of the humeral head and association between acromiohumeral interval (AHI) on radiographs and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are poorly understood.

Methods: A retrospective review of shoulder radiographs and MRI scans was undertaken. AHI was measured using both modalities.

Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) is a common occupational condition. The aim of this study was to develop a classification model for NIHL on the basis of both functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and structural magnetic resonance imaging (sMRI) by applying machine learning methods. fMRI indices such as the amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF), fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (fALFF), regional homogeneity (ReHo), degree of centrality (DC), and sMRI indices such as gray matter volume (GMV), white matter volume (WMV), and cortical thickness were extracted from each brain region.

Purpose To investigate changes in accommodation amplitude (AA) after strabismus surgery. Methods The medical records of patients who underwent full-tendon tenotomy on at least one rectus muscle between January 2023 and July 2023 were reviewed retrospectively. AA was evaluated objectively and monocularly with the autorefractometry (Tonoref III, ARK-1a, NIDEK Co Ltd, Gamagori, Japan).
