Globally, traumatic injuries and severe hemorrhagic wounds resulting from natural disasters, wars, traffic accidents, and operation rooms, especially during birth, are among the most difficult humanitarian and economic problems. Thus, the priority in emergency medical treatment is reducing unexpected blood loss, which can significantly influence a patient's rescue and recovery speed. For the immediate cessation of bleeding in severe hemorrhagic wounds and to speed up their healing, environmentally friendly γ-ionizing irradiation technology was used to develop innovative natural-based hydrogels impregnated with traditional medicinal plant extracts (MPE) with proven hemostatic and bactericidal potential as potential dressings for hemostasis, infection control, and wound healing.

Injectable behavior is often observed in polymer-based hydrogels yet is rarely achieved in low-molecular-weight hydrogels (LMWHs), the realization of which may boost the development of new soft materials for biomedical applications. Here, we report on injectable self-healing and antidissolving LMWHs that are formed through a simple ionic cross-linking strategy, showing a fundamental application for the encapsulation of living cells. The LMWHs are formed by simply mixing Ca with negatively charged supramolecular polymers.

A patient's hospital stay is too often wrapped in fear and worry. Healthcare leaders have emphasized the immense need to improve patient experience and address patients' individual needs. In addition to helping with the medical aspect of healing, we believe health systems can encourage and empower providers to perform acts of kindness to help elevate the otherwise stressful experience of being hospitalized.

Key Clinical Message: Chin augmentation by hyaluronic acid filler injection rarely causes abnormal bone resorption in the mentum. Thus, when taking the history of a patient with jaw deformity, it is imperative to check the history of treatment of the mentum.
Abstract: Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler injection is a common procedure in nonsurgical cosmetic chin augmentation.

Odontogenic myxoma of the mandibular condyle is a rare tumor that requires complete surgical resection because of the tendency for recurrence. The right mandibular condyle was resected to remove the myxoma. The author performed immediate condylar reconstruction using a costochondral graft (CCG), and stable temporomandibular joint (TMJ) function and occlusion were achieved.
