Background: To investigate the effect of postoperative supplementary parenteral nutrition (SPN) containing varying energy intake levels during the early postoperative period on the clinical outcomes of patients diagnosed with gastric cancer.
Methods: Data from 237 patients, who were diagnosed with gastric cancer between January 2016 and June 2022, were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were divided into 2 groups based on mean daily SPN energy intake: low (L-SPN; < 20 kcal/kg/day); and high (H-SPN; ≥ 20 kcal/kg/day).
Acute T cell mediated rejection of allografts remains a significant risk factor for early graft loss. Our prior work defined a population of graft-specific CD8 T cells positive for the activated receptor CD43 (expressing the 1B11 epitope) that form during acute rejection, leading us to further understand the in vivo fate and clinical relevance of this population. We found that during acute rejection, the CD43 ICOS phenotype was sensitive for proliferative graft-specific CD8 T cells.

Background: Tibial shaft fractures are among the most common long bone injuries and often can be challenging to manage surgically. While infrapatellar (IP) intramedullary nailing (IMN) has been a widely accepted treatment, its limitations have led to the emergence of alternative approaches, such as suprapatellar nailing (SPN) in a semi-extended knee position.
Aim: To evaluate the clinical, radiological, and functional outcomes of tibial shaft fractures treated with an SPN approach in a semi-extended knee position.

In this paper, a new static pinning intermittent control based on resource awareness triggering is proposed. A multi-layer control technique is used to synchronize the coupled neural network. First, a hierarchical network structure including pinned and interaction layers is induced using each pinning strategy.
