Background: Surgical techniques for biceps tenodesis vary in approach, fixation strategy, and anatomic location without clear superior technique for this common procedure.
Hypothesis/purpose: The purpose of this study was to prospectively evaluate a randomized cohort of patients undergoing arthroscopic suprapectoral (ASBT) with interference screw fixation using an inlay technique versus mini-open subpectoral (MOBT) with a unicortical button implant using an onlay technique with regards to 1) clinical outcome measures and 2) structural healing as evaluated by ultrasound.
Methods: From May 2017 to April 2021, patients undergoing biceps tenodesis were preoperatively randomized to either ASBT or MOBT.

Rapamycin, a macrocyclic antibiotic derived from the actinomycetes Streptomyces hygroscopicus, is a widely used immunosuppressant and anticancer drug. Even though rapamycin is regarded as a multipotent drug acting against a broad array of anomalies and diseases, the mechanism of action of rapamycin and associated pathways have not been studied and reported clearly. Also reports on the binding of rapamycin to cancer cell receptors are limited to the serine/threonine protein kinase mTORC1.

Introduction: The predictive and prognostic implications of different mutation (m) subtypes in metastatic NSCLC have not been clearly defined. We used a nationwide observational database to investigate whether m subtypes differ in their association with survival in metastatic NSCLC treated with immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-based therapy, across programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) levels.
Methods: Patients with advanced nonsquamous NSCLC who initiated first-line ICI-based therapy from 2016 to 2021 and had known PD-L1 expression and comprehensive genomic profiling including , , , and were included.
