An amperometric transducer with tubular coal electrodes has been worked out to determine the microquantity of peroxidase. The hydrodynamic parameters of the transducer were studied as were the relationship of the output signal to the concentration of the electroactive substance, the length of the electrode, the speed of the background electrolyte movement and the diffusion coefficient. The line section of the relationship between the strength of current and the peroxidase concentration is observed within the interval of the enzymic concentration 1-32 ng/ml with the exposure time of the enzymic reaction of 5-10 min.

As one of the most common air pollutants, fine particulate matter (PM) increases the risk of diseases in various systems, including the urinary system. In the present study, we exposed male and female C57BL/6J mice to PM for 8 weeks. Examination of renal function indices, including creatinine (CRE), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), uric acid (UA), and urinary microalbumin, indicated that the kidneys of female mice, not male mice, underwent early renal injury, exhibiting glomerular hyperfiltration.

Modifying the content of oxygen vacancies (OVs) has emerged as a crucial approach to tailoring silicate's adsorption properties, microstructure, conductivity, and catalytic performance. Some studies have reported the formation of OVs during ammonia treatment. However, there are limited studies on the production of OV-enriched mullite by treating it with N-containing compounds at low temperatures.

This study used the horizontal tubular heating furnace to explore the melting potential of circulating fluidized bed (CFB) incinerator fly ash and mechanical grate furnace (MGF) incinerator fly ash. The horizontal cyclone melting furnace was then built to explore further the feasibility of scale melting of MSWI fly ash. The melting characteristic temperature, amorphous content, and heavy metal leaching concentration characterized the melting potential and solidification effect of MSWI fly ash.

Plastic waste pollution is the serious environmental problem, and catalytic pyrolysis of waste plastics is an effective way to solve this problem. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are prepared by catalytic pyrolysis of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) waste plastics by one-stage method using iron nitrate and nickel nitrate as catalyst. The growth mechanism of CNTs is analyzed in detail.
