Background: Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a common chronic respiratory disease that can lead to the development of various other conditions. Although genetic risk loci associated with AR have been reported, the connections between these loci and AR comorbidities or other diseases remain unclear.
Methods: This study conducted a phenome-wide association study (PheWAS) using known AR risk loci to explore the impact of known AR risk variants on a broad spectrum of phenotypes.

Accumulating evidence suggests that stigma is a pervasive and pernicious psychosocial phenomenon that affects people living with chronic pain. In this narrative review, we describe the nature of stigma experienced by people with chronic pain and discuss its multifaceted determinants. These determinants include features of pain itself and intersectional factors, including comorbid conditions and social marginalization.

The recent pernicious COVID-19 pandemic is caused by SARS-CoV-2. While most therapeutic strategies have focused on the viral spike protein, Open Reading Frame 8 (ORF8) plays a critical role in causing the severity of the disease. Nonetheless, there still needs to be more information on the ORF8 binding epitopes and their appropriate safe inhibitors.
