Agrivoltaics, integrating photovoltaic systems with crop cultivation, demands semitransparent solar modules to mitigate soil shadowing. Perovskite Solar Cells (PSC) offer competitive efficiency, low fabrication costs, and high solar transmittance, making them suitable for agrivoltaic applications. However, the impact of PSC light filtering on plant growth and transcriptomics remains underexplored.

Reticular dysgenesis (RD) is a rare inborn error of immune cell formation defined by severe combined immunodeficiency, agranulocytosis and sensorineural deafness. We report a case of successful haploidentical maternal hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in a boy with RD detected by TREC newborn screening. The patient was admitted to our hospital at 2 weeks of age and was kept in laminar-air flow / hepa-filtered isolation until HSCT was performed at 8 weeks of age with a busulfan, fludarabine conditioning regime.

Introduction: Cell processing facilities are susceptible to environmental bacteria and must maintain sterile environments to safeguard cell products. This process involves circulating air through high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, which incurs significant maintenance costs. While cost-reduction strategies have been explored in the semiconductor industry, validations specific to cell processing facilities remain unreported.

Background: This study evaluated aerosol exposure during various respiratory activities (breathing, tachypnea, coughing, and oxygen therapy) in environments with directional air purifiers (DAPs), HEPA evacuators, and standard negative pressure (SNP) rooms to explore potential alternatives for addressing isolation room shortages.
Methods: Aerosol exposure was measured during various breathing conditions (normal, tachypnea, coughing, and recovery) with non-rebreather masks (NRMs) and nasal cannulas. The study analysed aerosol velocity and concentrations at the head, trunk and feet of a mannequin across settings including DAP, HEPA evacuator, SNP room, their combinations, and a reference group without intervention.

Air conditioning is a crucial participant in indoor air circulation and harmful microorganism transmission. To elucidate microbial contamination in air conditioning systems, bacteria, fungi, and pollens in residential air conditioning (AC) filters in Shanghai were revealed. The concentrations of fungal ITS (1,972,037 ± 5,025,505 copies/cm) in most filter samples were considerably higher than the 16S rRNA gene (21,587 ± 21,461 copies/cm).
