Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), historically termed 'lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma' due to its rich lymphocyte infiltration, benefit from PD-1 blockade treatment. However, a comprehensive understanding of its tumor microenvironment (TME) remains elusive, hindering the identification of effective biomarkers for immunotherapy. We leveraged multimodal profiling data, including gene expression, immunohistochemistry, and multiplex immunohistochemistry, from three independent cohorts of NPC patients with a total of 327 patients to dissect the TME in NPC.

Background/aims: Lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma (LELC) is a rare subtype of gastric cancer. We aimed to identify the clinicopathological features and rate of lymph node metastasis (LNM) to investigate the feasibility of endoscopic submucosal dissection for early gastric LELC confined to the mucosa or submucosa.
Methods: We compared the clinicopathological characteristics of 116 early gastric LELC patients and 5,753 early gastric well- or moderately differentiated (WD or MD) tubular adenocarcinoma patients treated by gastrectomy.

Background: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a double-stranded DNA oncogenic virus. Several types of solid tumors, such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma, EBV-associated gastric carcinoma, and lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma of the lung, have been linked to EBV infection. Currently, several TCR-T-cell therapies for EBV-associated tumors are in clinical trials, but due to the suppressive immune microenvironment of solid tumors, the clinical application of TCR-T-cell therapy for EBV-associated solid tumors is limited.
