Importance: Intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) has proven to be a challenging and enduring complication of prematurity. However, its association with neurodevelopment across the spectrum of IVH severity, independent of prematurity, and in the context of contemporary care remains uncertain.

Objective: To evaluate national trends in IVH diagnosis and the association with survival and neurodevelopmental outcomes at 2 years of age.

Purpose: This study introduces a new technique, spherical periacetabular osteotomy (SPO), performed via a para-sartorial intermuscular (PSIM) approach with a bikini incision, aiming to optimise the benefits of SPO, including preservation of muscles and providing cosmetic advantages.

Methods: Overall, 57 joints of 52 patients (mean age 36 ± 17 years) underwent SPO via the PSIM approach. Preoperative osteoarthritis was classified according to Tönnis grade, with 34 and 23 hips categorised as grades 0 and 1, respectively.

The presence of high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) contributes to the development of cervical lesions and cervical cancer. Recent studies suggest that an imbalance in the cervicovaginal microbiota might be a factor in the persistence of HR-HPV infections. In this study, we collected 156 cervicovaginal fluid (CVF) of women with HR-HPV infection, which were divided into three groups (negative for intraepithelial lesions = 78, low/high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions = 52/26).

Article Synopsis
  • Acute pancreatitis is a significant indicator in patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs), as about 19.2% of patients showed this symptom, often leading to diagnosis.
  • Acute pancreatitis is linked to a higher risk of high-grade dysplasia (2.07 times more likely) and certain types of IPMNs, but it is less associated with invasive cancer (0.62 times less likely).
  • After surgical resection, 9% of patients with a history of pancreatitis experienced recurrent episodes, compared to only 0.9% in those without prior pancreatitis.

Objective: To explore the risk factors associated with the pathological progression to invasive carcinoma following the conization of cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and to construct a risk prediction model to guide preoperative risk assessment and optimize the selection of surgical approaches.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 3337 patients who underwent cervical conization for HSIL at Hunan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from December 2016 to March 2022. The patients were categorized into the pathological progression group (398 cases) and the nonprogression group (2939 cases) based on postconization pathology results.
