Background: Antidepressants are a primary treatment for depression, yet prescribing them poses significant challenges due to the absence of clear guidelines for selecting the most suitable option for individual patients. This study aimed to analyze prescribing patterns for antidepressants across healthcare providers, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists, to better understand the complex factors influencing these patterns in the management of depression.
Methods: Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression was employed to identify variables that explained the variation in the prescribed antidepressants, utilizing a large number of claims.

The , authored by Ottoman pharmacist Georgios Photeinos and published in 1835 in Smyrna (modern-day Izmir, Türkiye), is a historically significant yet largely overlooked work in 19th-century pharmaceutical literature. At a time when modern pharmaceutical resources in Greek were scarce, Photeinos sought to address this gap by creating a comprehensive pharmacopoeia that extensively drew from the Austrian Pharmacopoeia, as well as French and Latin sources. Although he initiated the project around 1804, political upheavals delayed its completion by more than three decades.

Chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus (CKD-aP) is underdiagnosed and not fully understood by healthcare professionals, which leads to poor patient management and impacts patients' quality of life (QoL). The aim of this study was to analyse unmet needs in CKD-aP management and explore the attributes/characteristics that the ideal CKD-aP treatment should have from the perspective of a group of nephrologists, hospital pharmacists, nurses, patient representatives, and regional health authorities in Spain. A descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted using an e-survey including ad hoc questions (6-point Likert scale) related to unmet needs in CKD-aP and best-worst scaling (BWS) to prioritise the attributes/characteristics of the ideal CKD-aP treatment.

Purpose: This paper aimed to the enhancement of health-care services at a female penitentiary center in Costa Rica by implementing good documentation practices (GDocP) and good storage and distribution practices (GSDP) among the staff responsible for medications (SRM).
Design/methodology/approach: The methodology used in this project was qualitative, as it sought to deepen and reinforce the knowledge of the SRM about GDocP and GSDP in the Vilma Curling CAI to achieve its implementation. Additionally, different questionnaires were applied to measure the initial level of knowledge of GDocP and GSDP and the new skills acquired by the SRM at the end of the project.
