A magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer (MMIP) adsorbent for imidacloprid was prepared using non-covalent approach with functionalized nano FeO particles (magnetic cores), imidacloprid (template), acrylic acid (functional monomer), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (cross linker) and azobisisobutyronitrile (initiator) and used for selective separation of imidacloprid from honey and vegetable samples. The polymers were characterized using FT-IR spectroscopy, SEM and TEM images. For analysis of imidacloprid LC-MS/MS equipment was used. Adsorption kinetics was best explained by pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Adsorption data fitted well into linearized Freundlich equation (R > 0.98). Scatchard plot analysis indicates the presence of two classes of binding sites in the MMIPs with the C of 1889.6 µg g and 65448.9 µg g, respectively. MMIPs demonstrated much higher affinity for imidacloprid over structurally similar analogues acetamiprid (α = 23.59) and thiamethoxam (α = 17.15). About 87.1 ± 5.0% and 90.6 ± 5.6% of the added imidacloprid was recovered from MMIPs in case of fortified eggplant and honey samples, respectively.

A new magnetic-liquid crystal nanosurface molecularly imprinted polymer (5CB-FeO@MIP) resonance Rayleigh scattering temperature sensor was prepared, using liquid crystal 4'-cyano-4'-pentylbiphenyl as the temperature sensing element, nano-FeO as the substrate, methacrylic acid as the functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the crosslinking agent. It was characterized by molecular spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The thermosensitive effect of 11 liquid crystals, that is, the relationship between RRS and temperature, was studied.

Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutant gliomas are classified as astrocytoma or oligodendroglioma based on the recent application of mutation, mutation, and 1p/19q co-deletion. Astrocytomas classically show and mutations, whereas oligodendrogliomas are defined by 1p/19q co-deletion. However, there are reports of gliomas that harbor both astrocytoma and oligodendroglioma morphologically and molecularly.

Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is overexpressed in prostate cancer cells and tumor vasculature, making it an important biomarker. However, conventional PSMA-targeting agents like antibodies and small molecules have limitations. Antibodies exhibit instability and complex production, while small molecules show lower specificity and higher toxicity.

A novel molecular-imprinted electrochemical sensor for 3,4-benzopyrene (3, 4-BaP) in food samples, with high sensitivity and selective detection, is introduced. Firstly, graphene oxide was modified onto a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) by electroreduction deposition to form an RGO/GCE sensing platform, thereby enhancing the sensitivity and stability of the sensor. Then, magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer-zeolite imidazole framework-8 (MMIP-ZIF-8) was synthesized in one step using the crystal growth method and modified onto RGO/GCE, endowing the sensor with good adsorption capacity and selectivity.
