The Kell blood group system is complex, contains many antigens, highly immunogenic, and potent in triggering immune reactions. Antibodies to Kell blood group system are the most common immune red cell antibodies, following ABO and Rh. However, among the anti-Kell antibodies; anti-Kp is extremely rare. We report an interesting case of Anti-Kp in a 59-year-old female patient of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, post radiotherapy, who first developed warm autoantibody and later developed anti-Kp alloantibody on multiple transfusions.

Enhancing Diagnostic Precision: Intracardiac Echocardiography-Guided Endomyocardial Biopsy for Complex Right Atrial Mass.

JACC Case Rep

Department of Cardiology, Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Norte,Centro Cardiovascular da Universidade de Lisboa (CCUL@RISE), Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa, Centro Académico de Medicina de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal.

An 80-year-old woman with a history of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma presented to the emergency department with exertional dyspnea and lower limb edema. A transthoracic echocardiogram revealed a large extracardiac mass invading the right atrium. A diagnostic transcatheter endomyocardial biopsy guided by intracardiac echocardiography was performed.

CNS lymphoma is a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that primarily affects the brain, spinal cord, leptomeninges, or eyes, leading to severe neurological or ophthalmological complications. This case report details a 44-year-old male with human immunodeficiency virus and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who experienced permanent vision loss due to optic perineuritis, a rare presenting symptom indicative of underlying CNS involvement. Despite previous remission, imaging revealed focal enhancements suggesting CNS lymphoma, highlighting diagnostic and management challenges in relapsed lymphoma, especially in immunocompromised patients.

Cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCLs) are a rare and heterogeneous subset of skin-localized, non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Our aim was to evaluate the in vitro antitumor activity of the multi-kinase inhibitor linifanib, either alone or in combination with metronomic vinorelbine (mVNR) or etoposide (mETO), on CTCL cells. In vitro proliferation assay and Luminex analysis showed that long-term, daily exposure of linifanib significantly inhibited the proliferation of the human CTCL cell line HH, in a concentration-dependent manner (IC = 48.

Background: 7-Hydroxymethotrexate (7-OHMTX) is the main metabolite in plasma following high-dose MTX (HD-MTX), which may result in activity and toxicity of the MTX. Moreover, 7-OHMTX could produce crystalline-like deposits within the renal tubules under acidic conditions or induce renal inflammation, oxidative stress, and cell apoptosis through various signaling pathways, ultimately leading to kidney damage. The objectives of this study were thus to explore the exposure-safety relationship of two compounds and search the most reliable marker for predicting HDMTX nephrotoxicity.
