In this work, we have investigated how the concentration of Gd ions affects the structural and luminescent properties of niobium oxide-based matrices doped with Eu ions obtained by the adapted non-hydrolytic sol-gel route. X-ray diffractograms revealed that increasing the concentration of Gd ions favored the onset of the GdO structure decreasing the GdNbO phase. The excitation spectra (λ = 613 nm) presented bands corresponding to the F → L transitions (L = D, G, and L, where J = 0-7), attributed to the Eu ions, and a broad band at 270 nm, assigned to the charge transfer of the [Formula: see text] group. The emission spectra contained bands refer to the D → F internal configuration transitions (J = 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4). Finally, the CIE chromaticity coordinates met the standard for the color red established by the National Television Standard Committee (NTSC).

Carbon dots doped with metals and non-metals have gained much popularity due to the enhancement in their optical and electronic properties. In this study, polyethyleneimine-functionalized transition metal (nickel or copper) doped carbon dots (CD, NiCD and CuCD) were synthesized through hydrothermal method. The carbon dots exhibited a blue fluorescence at 470 nm when excited at 350 nm.

This study reports the isolation and characterization of highly resistant bacterial and microalgal strains from an Egyptian wastewater treatment station to cyanide-containing compounds. The bacterial strain was identified as Bacillus licheniformis by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The isolate removed up to 1 g L potassium cyanide, 3 g L benzonitrile, and 1 g L sodium salicylate when incubated as 10% v/v in MSM at 30 ℃.

The aim of this study was to systematically analyze the differences in bioactive compounds in Ningxia Tan, Oula, and Bahan crossbred mutton, and to examine their effects on minced mutton quality. Initially, characteristic bioactive compounds in mutton were analyzed using principal component analysis. Further investigation assessed the effects of varying concentrations of glycyrrhizin flavonoids (0, 0.

This study aimed to investigate the influence of heterogeneous amylopectin (waxy corn starch, WCS) on the retrogradation of wheat starch (WS), hoping to provide a new idea for alleviating the retrogradation of steamed cold noodles. The chain length distribution data confirmed the formation of a binary gel network resulting from the heterogeneous amylopectin structure between WCS and WS. With the increase of WCS concentration, the modulus and setback value of WS-WCS binary gel decreased, which was attributed to the newly built network structure hindering the aggregation of WS molecules.
