Cerebral proliferative angiopathy (CPA) is a rare vascular abnormality and separate from "classical" brain arteriovenous malformations. Haemorrhage due to proliferative angiopathy is rarely reported. We describe the clinical features, imaging findings and targeted endovascular management for a 12-year-old boy having proliferative angiopathy of the posterior fossa presenting with haemorrhage. Targeted endovascular embolisation in CPA is not previously described in the literature. The optimal treatment options for haemorrhagic CPA are debatable, and we wish to highlight the role of targeted treatment for culprit focal lesion demonstrable on imaging.

The glycocalyx is an essential structural and functional component of endothelial cells. Extensive hemodynamic changes cause endothelial glycocalyx disruption and vascular dysfunction, leading to multiple arterial and venous disorders. Chronic venous disease (CVD) is a common disorder of the lower extremities with major health and socio-economic implications, but complex pathophysiology.

Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a cytogenetically heterogeneous clonal plasma cell proliferative disease whose diagnosis is supported by analyses on histological slides of bone marrow aspirate. In summary, experts use a labor-intensive methodology to compute the ratio between plasma cells and non-plasma cells. Therefore, the key aspect of the methodology is identifying these cells, which relies on the experts' attention and experience.

Omega-3 fatty acids are critical components of cell membranes, including those in the retina. Specifically, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are the primary omega-3 fatty acids that have been studied for their potential benefits in retinal health, preventing the progression of retinopathy. Several studies have shown that a higher intake of omega-3 fatty acids is associated with a lower risk of developing diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

The protease, a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin type 1 motif member 13 (ADAMTS13), known to cleave only the von Willebrand factor (VWF), has powerful regulatory effects on microvascular platelet adhesion, thrombosis, inflammation, and endothelial dysfunction. We study the protection against diabetes-induced retinal injury in experimental rats by supplementation with recombinant ADAMTS13. We compare human epiretinal membranes and vitreous samples from nondiabetic subjects and patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) and extend in vitro analyses with the use of various immunodetection and spectrofluorimetric methods on rat retina and human retinal glial and endothelial cell cultures.

Objective: To explore the differential gene expression in peripheral blood immune cells of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), comparing those with and without non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR).
Methods: From a pool of 126 potential participants, 60 were selected for detailed analysis. This group included 12 healthy donors (HDs), 22 individuals with DM, and 26 with NPDR.
