Background: In arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM), left ventricle-dominant presentation has poorer outcomes than right-dominant presentation, suggesting that interventricular functional disparity might play a role in patients' prognosis. However, the prognostic impact of ventricular functional discordance in ACM patients remains unknown.

Purpose: To assess whether ventricular functional disparity measured as ventricular discordance index, defined as the ratio of right-ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) to left-ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), might reveal prognostic disparities between phenotypes and offer added risk stratification value.

Echocardiography is a primary tool for cardiac diagnosis. Accurate delineation of the left ventricle is a prerequisite for echocardiography-based clinical decision-making. In this work, we propose an echocardiographic left ventricular segmentation method based on the diffusion probability model, which is named EchoSegDiff.

Light Sheet Microscopy (LSM) in conjunction with embryonic zebrafish, is rapidly advancing three-dimensional, characterization of myocardial contractility. Preclinical cardiac deformation imaging is predominantly restricted to a low-order dimensionality image space (2D) or suffers from poor reproducibility. In this regard, LSM has enabled high throughput, non-invasive 4D (3d+time) characterization of dynamic organogenesis within the transparent zebrafish model.

Introduction: The rate of neurodegeneration in multiple sclerosis (MS) is an important biomarker for disease progression but can be challenging to quantify. The brain age gap, which quantifies the difference between a patient's chronological and their estimated biological brain age, might be a valuable biomarker of neurodegeneration in patients with MS. Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the value of an image-based prediction of the brain age gap using a deep learning model and compare brain age gap values between healthy individuals and patients with MS.

Background: Ineffective right ventricular (RV) adaptation to increasing pulmonary arterial (PA) afterload in pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) significantly contributes to morbidity and mortality. Pulmonary vascular disease in systemic sclerosis (SSc) arises through various mechanisms, yet detecting abnormal contractile response remains challenging. Here we examine whether echocardiographic RV-PA coupling metrics correlate with invasive pressure-volume (PV) loops, enhancing the prediction of adverse clinical outcomes in SSc-PVD patients.
