Life grids have been used in qualitative studies for the last two decades. They provide an activity which researcher and participant can focus their attention on, help build rapport, and reduce the control the researcher may hold within a session. Here we describe the novel use of life grids at the end of a data collection phase. Used in this previously unreported way, life grids assisted the closure of the data collection phase by summarizing the data collection and marking departure from the field. Creation of a life grid produced a tangible outcome, evidencing the work undertaken within the data collection period. They served as a powerful member checking tool, allowing participants to make additions and corrections to the data. In this article, the use of life grids in this novel way is described and recommended by the authors.

We show that the resolution-dependent loss of bimolecular reactions in spatiotemporal Reaction-Diffusion Master Equations (RDMEs) is in agreement with the mean-field Collins-Kimball (C-K) theory of diffusion-limited reaction kinetics. The RDME is a spatial generalization of the chemical master equation, which enables studying stochastic reaction dynamics in spatially heterogeneous systems. It uses a regular Cartesian grid to partition space into locally well-mixed reaction compartments and treats diffusion as a jump reaction between neighboring grid cells.

Background: Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) with minimally invasive devices plays a key role in the assessment of daily diabetes management by detecting and alerting to potentially dangerous trends in glucose levels, improving quality of life, and treatment adherence. However, there is still uncertainty as to whether CGMs are accurate enough to replace self-monitoring of blood glucose, especially in detecting episodes of hypoglycemia.
Objectives: Evaluate clinical, numerical accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of the CGM devices commercially available when compared to the reference standard of arterial or venous blood glucose.

Background: Temporal trends and geographical disparities in type 2 diabetes burden attributable to air pollution, including ambient and household, are not fully understood within China. This study aims to estimate the burden of type 2 diabetes attributable to air pollution at national and provincial levels from 1990 to 2021.
Methods: We assessed air pollution exposure across 33 Chinese provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and special administrative regions, focusing on two common forms of air pollution: ambient particulate matter pollution (defined as the annual gridded concentration of PM) and household air pollution (defined as the percentage of households using solid cooking fuels and their corresponding exposure to PM).
