Dasatinib, a second-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor used for treating chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML), is associated with rare but significant adverse effects, including pulmonary arterial hypertension. This condition is thought to result from endothelial dysfunction and vascular remodelling linked to Src kinase inhibition. Symptoms such as progressive dyspnoea and fatigue may appear months or years after starting therapy, emphasising the need for long-term vigilance.

Acute pancreatitis can lead to systemic inflammation and multiple organ damage. Increased endothelial permeability is a hallmark of systemic inflammation. Several studies have demonstrated that cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRP) functions as a proinflammatory factor in various diseases.

Background: Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a severe condition associated with high morbidity and mortality. Its severity correlates with the degree of pulmonary hypoplasia. Recent literature has emphasized the importance of identifying distinct hemodynamic phenotypes (HP) to guide physiology-based management.

Background: High altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE) poses a significant medical challenge to individuals ascending rapidly to high altitudes. Hypoxia-induced cellular morphological changes in the alveolar-capillary barrier such as mitochondrial structural alterations and cytoskeletal reorganization, play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of HAPE. These morphological changes are critical in understanding the cellular response to hypoxia and represent potential therapeutic targets.

Chronic Schistosomiasis, especially the hepatosplenic form, can lead to the development of pulmonary arterial hypertension and has been classified as a distinct entity referred to as "Schistosomiasis-associated pulmonary arterial hypertension" (Sch-PAH). Several mechanisms may play a role in the pathogenesis of Sch-PAH, which include peri-ovular granulomatous inflammation with subsequent vascular remodeling.
