The influence of effective room temperature on the radiochemical purity of Tc-radiopharmaceuticals was reported. This study was born from the observation that in the isolators used for the preparation of the Tc-radiopharmaceuticals the temperatures can be higher than those reported in the commercial illustrative leaflets of the kits. This is due, in particular, to the small size of the work area, the presence of instruments for heating, the continuous activation of air filtration, in addition to the fact that the environment of the isolator used for the Tc-radiopharmaceuticals preparation and storage is completely isolated and not conditioned. A total of 244 Tc-radiopharmaceutical preparations (seven different types) have been tested and the radiochemical purity was checked at the end of preparation and until the expiry time. Moreover, we found that the mean temperature into the isolator was significantly higher than 25 °C, the temperature, in general, required for the preparation and storage of Tc-radiopharmaceuticals. Results confirmed the radiochemical stability of radiopharmaceutical products. However, as required in the field of quality assurance, the impact that different conditions than those required by the manufacturer on the radiopharmaceuticals quality have to be verified before human administration.

For hepatobiliary scintigraphy, the radiopharmaceutical drug, ETIFENIN (TECHIDA®), labelled with technetium-99m, is used as a substitute for MEBROFENIN (CHOLEDIAM®). It is generally accepted that radiopharmaceuticals should be checked prior to injection, in particular by determining radiochemical purity, to ensure high-quality images. Radiochromatographic techniques or methods described in the Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) and the European Pharmacopeia (Ph.

In this study, a novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) consisting of Rituximab and Chlorambucil (Rituximab-CMB) was synthesized. The average number of drug molecules attached per Rituximab molecule was determined using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, revealing a range of 4-6 drug molecules per antibody. To further improve the therapeutic potential of the ADC, it was radiolabeled with the therapeutic radionuclide Lu via a DOTA chelator, achieving a final radiochemical purity of over 95%.

Bone is one of the most common target organs for distant metastases of solid tumors, which imposes a heavy burden on society. Early diagnosis of bone metastases is of great significance and positron emission tomography (PET) imaging plays an important role in the diagnosis of bone metastases. PET tracers applied for diagnosing bone metastases are constantly being updated, but they all have certain limitations like a relatively low bone/kidney ratio or no capacity to label therapeutic radionuclides.

No effective vaccines or treatments are currently available for severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS), a fatal tick-borne infectious disease caused by the SFTS virus (SFTSV). This study evaluated the potential of In-labeled anti-SFTSV antibodies targeting SFTSV structural proteins as single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging agents for the selective visualization of SFTSV-infected sites. This study used nuclear medicine imaging to elucidate the pathology of SFTS and assess its therapeutic efficacy.

Background: Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) enzymes are crucial for the repair of DNA single-strand breaks and have become key therapeutic targets in homologous recombination-deficient cancers, including prostate cancer. To enable non-invasive monitoring of PARP-1 expression, several PARP-1-targeting positron emission tomography (PET) tracers have been developed. Here, we aimed to preclinically investigate [carbonyl-C]DPQ as an alternative PARP-1 PET tracer as it features a strongly distinct chemotype compared to the frontrunners [F]FluorThanatrace and [F]PARPi.
