The incidence and severity of respiratory diseases in commercial broiler chicken flocks have increased recently in India because of intensification of the broiler industry. Viral population are predominant in respiratory tract infections and they pose continuous economic burden to poultry industry by causing severe economic losses through decreased productivity [1], [2]. To understand viral metagenome of poultry associated with respiratory infections, we performed DNA virome sequencing and data analysis of broilers from 8 districts of Gujarat State in India. We report high quality sequencing reads and highly abundant DNA viral population present in the infected broiler birds. The raw sequencing data used to perform metagenomic analysis is available in the Sequence Read Archive (SRA) under the BioProject No. PRJNA322592 and Accession No. MAUZ00000000, MAVA00000000, MAVB00000000, MAVC00000000, MAVD00000000, MAVE00000000, MAVF00000000, MAVG00000000 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/?term=PRJNA322592).

Background: Reactive astrocytes and neuron death by excitotoxicity are observed in Alzheimer's disease (AD). DHA-H (2-hydroxy-docosahexaenoic acid; 2-OH-C22:6 n-3) is a molecule under development that has demonstrated therapeutic efficacy in both cellular and 5xFAD mouse model of AD. DHA-H is metabolized through α-oxidation to yield HPA (Heneicosapentaenoic acid; C21:5 n-3).

Background: Close to 23% of unplanned hospital admissions for people living with dementia (PLWD) are due to potentially preventable causes such as severe urinary tract infections (UTIs), falls, and respiratory problems. These affect the well-being of PLWD, cause stress to carers and increase pressure on healthcare services.

Method: We use routinely collected in-home sensory data to monitor nocturnal activity and sleep data.

Background: A 69-year-old retired businessman, born in 1954, with 12 years of education, had been participating in cognitive enhancement sessions for the past 5 years. His medical history included two ischemic strokes, left hemiplegia, as well as disturbances in the left visual field. This study aimed to examine the individual's cognitive performance over the course of these 5 years, including the COVID-19 pandemic period.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is increasingly recognized for its link to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), though the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Histone lysine demethylase 6B (KDM6B) may either prevent or promote organ fibrosis, but its specific role in IPF is yet to be clarified. This study aimed to investigate the function and mechanisms of KDM6B in IPF and the exacerbating effects of OSA.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous respiratory disorder characterized by persistent airflow limitation. The diverse pathogenic mechanisms underlying COPD progression remain incompletely understood. Macrophages, serving as the most representative immune cells in the respiratory tract, constitute the first line of innate immune defense and maintain pulmonary immunological homeostasis.
