We herein report a case of a 43-year-old man with a right 8th-rib bone tumor exhibiting features of malignancy at CT-scan. Considering that a SPECT/CT with Tc-MDP showed solitary intense radio-tracer uptake and the inconclusive results from a fine-needle biopsy, surgical en bloc tumor resection was performed. Pathologic analysis revealed a well-limited benign bone lesion ("fibrous rib dysplasia") composed by a cellular fibrous proliferation. Since benign osseous diseases may present an intense scintigraphic tracer uptake (as in this case), we suggest a certain caution when interpreting the results of SPECT/CT with Tc-MDP in order to avoid misdiagnosis and wrong treatments.

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors in treating small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) and determine the role of PD-1 monoclonal antibodies in improving patient outcomes.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 37 SCLC patients who received PD-1 or PD-L1 inhibitors along with chemotherapy at the First Hospital of Lanzhou University between June 2018 and June 2023. Treatment effectiveness was measured by overall response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), overall survival (OS), and progression-free survival (PFS), utilizing chi-square and T-tests, along with Kaplan-Meier and log-rank analyses.

Endolymphatic sac tumors (ELSTs) are rare, slow-growing, and locally aggressive neoplasms that originate from the epithelial lining of the endolymphatic duct and sac. These are characterized by their infiltrative growth pattern and the potential for local destruction of surrounding structures, including the inner ear and temporal bone. Background: Biopsy is an essential part of proper diagnostic workup in pediatric bone sarcomas impacting surgical planning, chemotherapeutic treatments, and prognostic determination. Two main biopsy techniques are currently used: closed biopsy (core needle or fine needle aspiration) and open biopsy. Historical oncologic teaching is for resection of the biopsy tract with the tumor specimen due to the theoretical risk for biopsy tract tumor contamination; however, this can restrict surgical planning and increase morbidity.
