Background: The present study evaluated service use of our newly established Early Intervention and Treatment Centre (FRITZ) in Berlin for young adults with first or early psychosis with and without migration background.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective chart review of in-patients with early psychosis who were admitted to FRITZ between May 2014 and May 2015. We investigated the proportion of patients with migration background, sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of patients.
Results: Corresponding to the proportion of migrants in the catchment area, 35 % of our service users from the catchment area (n = 60) had a migration background. Migrants had a better social adaption, but showed lower insight into illness, less substance induced psychoses and less inpatient admissions. The majority of all patients were admitted to FRITZ via the emergency department.
Conclusions: The findings indicate that FRITZ was almost equally well received by patients with and without migration background. Patients with migration background showed distinct sociodemographic and clinical characteristics that could be relevant for treatment. Implications for future clinical practice are discussed.

Background: Some mammals including the swine carry a fibrous vestigial clavicle, but a subclavius muscle (SBM) extends between the first rib and the supraspinatus muscle surface fascia. We aimed to examine development of the SBM and clavicle for finding a specific factor to provide the curious morphology.
Materials And Methods: Histological sections of early- and midterm fetuses of the swine, human and mouse were observed and compared at the almost same morphological stage.

Background: Evidence amounted early that migrants, who are often side-lined in pandemic response or preparedness plans, are disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences. However, synthesised evidence that quantifies the magnitude of inequalities in infection risk, disease outcomes, consequences of pandemic measures or that explains the underlying mechanisms is lacking.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review searching 25 databases and grey literature (12/2019 to 09/2023) and considered empirical articles covering migrants, refugees, asylum-seekers, and internally displaced persons reporting COVID-19 cases, hospitalisation, ICU admission, mortality, COVID-19 vaccination rates or health consequences of pandemic measures.

Background: Protecting the health of migrants and refugees during the pandemic was a significant challenge in the Latin American region. We aimed to describe and contrast the response of the health systems of Mexico, Colombia and Perú to migrants' and refugees' health needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to situate the response in the context of the migration and health policies of each country.
Methods: We conducted case studies of the three countries.
