Background: Nodular lymphoid hyperplasia (NLH) of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is a rare condition in adults. It is usually asymptomatic. Few complications have been described.
Aim: We report an unusual clinical presentation of focal lymphoid hyperplasia of the GI.
Case Report: A 23-year-old female patient presented with a fistulizingdisease of the terminal ileum and the caecum complicated with an abscess of the lower right quadrant if the abdomen. CT-guided drainage with antibiotic therapy failed to control the abscess. Thus, surgery was undertaken and ileocaecal resection was performed. Focal lymphoid hyperplasia was confirmed by the pathology of the specimen.
Conclusions: NLH is an uncommon condition in adults. To the best of our knowledge, no previous cases have been reported with fistulizing NLH. The management should follow the same algorithm as fistulizing ileitis. Surgery is indicated only in cases of complicated disease after the failure of medical treatment.

Bisphenol A (BPA), an endocrine disruptor, is linked to cancer progression in estrogen-responsive tissues, but its role in promoting colorectal cancer (CRC) progression in the context of obesity remains underexplored. This study examines BPA's influence on CRC in obese Sprague-Dawley rats using network toxicology and experimental models. Computational analysis using the Database for Annotation, Visualization, and Integrated Discovery identified pathways such as "CRC" and "chemical carcinogenesis-receptor activation", implicating the PI3K-AKT pathway in IL-1 beta upregulation and BPA's role in CRC during obesity.

Introduction: Castleman disease (CD) refers to a heterogeneous group of lymphoproliferative disorders, which rarely involves the larynx. Our goal in this study is to elucidate the clinical presentation, diagnostic techniques, and treatment methods of laryngeal CD through a scoping review and the addition of a new case.
Methods: Due to limited existing literature, we employed a mixed methodology for review.

Gastric lymphofollicular hyperplasia (GLFH) is characterized by large lymphoid nodules in the lamina propria. Its etiology and immunohistochemical characteristics are poorly understood. This study analyzed 41 canine GLFH cases, including clinical, endoscopic, histopathological, and immunohistochemical evaluations.

This study aimed to describe a case series of patients diagnosed with orbital reactive lymphoid hyperplasia (RLH) at a single tertiary care centre. A retrospective review was conducted by searching electronic medical records at Liverpool University NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT) from 1 December 2021 - 1 December 2023, to identify all patients with a histological diagnosis. Ten patients with an orbital histological diagnosis of RLH were identified.

Introduction: In genetically predisposed individuals, exposure to aeroallergens and infections from RNA viruses shape epithelial barrier function, leading to Allergic Asthma (AA). Here, activated pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) in lower airway sentinel cells signal epithelial injury-repair pathways leading to cell-state changes [epithelial mesenchymal plasticity (EMP)], barrier disruption and sensitization.
