The rhizosphere, the soil zone surrounding plant roots, serves as a reservoir for numerous beneficial microorganisms that enhance plant productivity and crop yield, with substantial potential for application as biofertilizers. These microbes play critical roles in ecological processes such as nutrient recycling, organic matter decomposition, and mineralization. Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) represent a promising tool for sustainable agriculture, enabling green management of crop health and growth, being eco-friendly alternatives to replace chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

This paper introduces an innovative, adaptive Fractional Open-Circuit Voltage (FOCV) algorithm combined with a robust Improved Model Reference Adaptive Controller (IMRAC) for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) in standalone photovoltaic (PV) systems. The proposed two-stage control strategy enhances energy efficiency, simplifies system operation, and addresses limitations in conventional MPPT methods, such as slow convergence, high oscillations, and susceptibility to environmental fluctuations. The first stage dynamically estimates the Maximum Power Point (MPP) voltage using a novel adaptive FOCV method, which eliminates the need for irradiance sensors or physical disconnection of PV modules.

The warm Western Boundary Currents (WBCs) and their zonal extensions are persistent, deep, strong and narrow oceanic currents. They are known to anchor and energize the Extra-Tropical storm tracks by frontal thermal air-sea interactions. However, even in the latest generation of climate models, WBCs are characterized by large biases, and both the present storm-track activity and its recent intensification are poorly estimated.
