Background: Weight bias is a global health challenge and community members are endorsed as the most common source of weight bias. The nature of weight biases specifically against preconception, pregnant, and postpartum (PPP) women from the perspective of community members is not known, especially in terms of cross-cultural trends. We investigated the magnitude of explicit and implicit weight bias and profiles of characteristics associated with harbouring weight bias.

Background: Improving the intraoperative and postoperative performance of laparoscopic hepatectomy was quite a challenge for liver surgeons.
Aim: To determine the benefits of indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who underwent laparoscopic hepatectomy during and after surgery.
Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinicopathological data of 107 patients who successfully underwent laparoscopic hepatectomy at Zhongshan Hospital (Xiamen), Fudan University from June 2022 to June 2023.

Background: Periprosthetic hip dislocation after total hip arthroplasty is a devastating postoperative complication. It is often associated with suboptimal orientation of the acetabular component, characterized by the acetabular abduction and anteversion angles obtained from anteroposterior pelvic radiographs. We introduce a novel automated web tool to streamline the subjective and lengthy process of this manual measurement and compare it to manual human measurements.

For example, sequence biases at individual positions can be used to design consensus proteins that are often more stable than naturally occurring counterparts. Likewise, correlations between pairs of residue can be used to predict protein structures.

Ventricular depolarization refers to the electrical activation and subsequent contraction of the ventricles, visible as the QRS complex on a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG). A well-organized and efficient depolarization is critical for cardiac function. Abnormalities in ventricular depolarization may indicate various pathologies and can be present in all leads if the condition is general, or in a subgroup of anatomically contiguous leads if the condition is limited to the corresponding anatomic location of the heart.
