A 21-year-old female patient underwent wide excision of the buccal mucosa and tongue as well as selective neck dissection due to squamous cell carcinoma on the left side of the tongue. She had a severe limitation in opening her mouth, owing to fibrosis of the mucosa and scar contracture after adjuvant radiation therapy. Reconstruction of the oral mucosa and tongue defect was performed after removal of the scar to improve mouth opening. An anterolateral thigh (ALT) flap was used, trimmed to an adipofascial flap for the reconstruction of the thin and pliable oral mucosa and tongue. The maximum mouth opening improved to 40 mm intraoperatively and was 30 mm after surgery. The adipofascial ALT flap had excellent viability and presented neomucosa after secondary healing. An adipofascial flap obtained by trimming an ALT flap could be a reliable option for the reconstruction of thin and pliable oral mucosa after wide excision of oral cancer.

Background: Patients with locally advanced, surgically unresectable oral squamous cell cancers (SU-OSCC) are often treated with palliative intent. There is limited information on the outcomes of radical intent treatment with radiotherapy (RT) or chemoradiotherapy (CRT).
Methods: We retrospectively examined patients with Stage III/IV previously untreated SU-OSCC treated definitively from 2011 to 2021 in a single institution with RT or CRT with or without neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT).

Introduction: We assessed corn oil's oral effectiveness in detecting small bowel changes in healthy dogs through ultrasonography, endoscopy, and histopathology. We hypothesize that corn oil ingestion will not significantly increase the visibility of lymphatics and lacteals in healthy dogs.
Methods: Five healthy male beagles were studied under institutional guidelines.

Introduction Oral verrucous carcinoma (OVC), a low-grade variation of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), is distinguished by endophytic development and a pebbly, mammillated surface. OVC, often referred to as Ackerman's tumor, has been known to involve lymph nodes but rarely spreads to regional and distant locations; when the primary tumor grows, it frequently involves surrounding tissues. Histopathologically, it has a thicker basement membrane, many reduplications, and a large area of inflammatory infiltration that resembles OSCC.

Dermal fillers such as hyaluronic acid (HA) have been widely used in recent years as a less surgically invasive cosmetic treatment. Although delayed foreign body granuloma may occur as a rare adverse reaction after the procedure, detailed histological reports are still limited. When occurring on the buccal mucosa of the oral cavity, the histopathology may resemble some lesions of minor salivary gland origin due to the material properties of HA.

Objective: This study aimed to find out the effect of age, hot beverages and tobacco related products on buccal mucosa cells between cigarette smokers and non-smokers in Ajman, UAE.
Methods: A total of 122 samples were collected, with demographic data including age, hot beverage consumption, cigarette smoking and other tobacco practice using pre-designed questionnaires. Buccal cells were collected, stained, and screened for micronuclei (MN) under a microscope and two evaluators independently assessed all the slides.
