The resolving power and relative efficiency of two off-axis reflection zone plates (RZPs) in the soft X-ray range between 1 nm and 5 nm were investigated. RZPs focus only a very narrow bandwidth around the design wavelength. By misaligning the RZP, the focused wavelength can be tuned through a much wider spectral range. Using a laser-produced plasma source, we demonstrate that a single RZP can be efficiently used for spectroscopy at arbitrary wavelengths in the investigated soft X-ray range.

The aim of this study is to investigate whether not using the calcar screw in proximal humerus fractures affects functional and radiological outcomes. Thirty patients (21 females and 9 males) who presented with proximal humerus fractures and were treated with plate- screw fixation were evaluated. The patients were divided into two groups: group 1 included patients with the use of the calcar screw, and group 2 included patients without the calcar screw.

Plasmacytomas are rare monoclonal neoplastic plasma cell proliferations in soft tissue or bone, with clival plasmacytomas being extremely rare and occasionally presenting with light chain deposition disease (LCDD). While imaging findings for clival plasmacytomas have shown variable T2 signal characteristics, complete T2 signal loss has not been previously reported. We present a case of a 61-year-old female found to have a 1.

We report the case of a 40-year-old male patient who presented with a slow-growing, asymptomatic lesion on his forehead that had developed over two years. Clinical examination revealed a firm, non-tender multinodular mass measuring 5 x 3 cm in the supraorbital region.

The self-absorption effects observed in the background intensity just above the Si L-emission spectra of Si and β-Si3N4, and the C K-emission spectra of diamond and graphite were examined. Based on comparisons with reported results, the energy positions of absorption edges-representing the bottom of conduction bands (CB)-were assigned. The self-absorption profiles in the background intensities were consistent with previously reported data.

Objectives: To analyze the risk factors for developing dysphagia after occipitocervical fusion (OCF) and investigate possible mechanisms and prognosis.
Methods: The case data of 43 patients who underwent OCF were retrospectively reviewed. Patients were divided into group A (dysphagia group) and group B (non-dysphagia group) based on Bazaz scoring criteria.
