Electronic medical records can be used to mine clinical data (big data), providing automated analysis during patient care. This article describes the source and potential impact of big data analysis on risk stratification and early detection of deterioration. It compares use of big data analysis with existing methods of identifying at-risk patients who require rapid response. Aggregate weighted scoring systems combined with big data analysis offer an opportunity to detect clinical changes that precede rapid response team activation. Future studies must determine if this will decrease transfers to intensive care units and cardiac arrests on the floors.

This study aimed to investigate the individual or combined impacts of multiple maize technology package adoption on the production efficiency and food security of smallholder farmers in the selected districts of Sidama region of Ethiopia. The cross-sectional data of 424 sample farmers owing 545 maize plots were collected using multistage sampling approaches. The selection-bias corrected multinomial endogenous switching regression (MESR) model was employed to assess the impact of improved maize seed, chemical fertilizers, and row planting adoption on the production efficiency and food security of smallholder maize-producing farmers.

Background: To comprehend the current state of death anxiety among Chinese college students during the COVID-19 pandemic, analyze its influencing factors, and provide recommendations for mitigating death anxiety among these students.
Methods: From March to May 2023, utilizing a cluster sampling method, students from three universities in Changzhou, Jiangsu, were selected as research participants. The investigation employed a general information questionnaire, the PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), the Chinese Version Templer-Death Anxiety Scale (CT-DAS), and the brief version of the Big Five Inventory (BFI-10).
