Objective: To understand the eco-hydraulics characteristics of , the intermediate host of .
Methods: The drainage method and settlement tube method were applied to measure 's density and hydrostatic settling velocity respectively.
Results: The density of was 1.04-1.16 g/cm, and the average value was 1.08 g/cm. The hydrostatic settling velocity was 2.32-12.92 cm/s.
Conclusions: The eco-hydraulics characteristics of is different from , and more attention should be paid to the hydraulic measures for the control of .

When atmospheric particles deposit to the ocean, their settling velocities and residence times associated are critical for their effects on oceanic ecosystems. We developed a hydrostatic sedimentation method using video imaging techniques to track particles of 5-20 μm in diameter falling into seawater and determine the particle settling velocities in relation to their diameter, shape, organic matter contained, and seawater salinity. The measured settling velocities varied from 0.

Displacement-controlled systems have high efficiency and are widely used in industry. Accurate control of the actuator motion in hydraulic systems is usually a necessity in industrial applications such as the motion of control surfaces in fixed-wing airplanes for flight control as well as the aircraft brake systems. To address this need, the current study was conducted with the goal of developing a high-fidelity model to achieve precise control.

Hypothesis: It is important to elucidate the effect of the particle dispersion/aggregation state of electrode slurries on resulting electrodes for the development of superior lithium-ion batteries. Many studies have been conducted to characterize cathode slurries for lithium-ion batteries; however, the particle dispersion state of cathode slurries remains unclear. This study investigates the rheological behavior and the packing ability of the cathode slurries for obtaining a denser electrode with lower electric resistance.

CsPbBr belongs to all inorganic perovskite-related quasi-two-dimensional materials that have attracted considerable attention due to their potential for optoelectronic applications. In this study, we solve numerous controversies on the physical properties of this material. We show that optical absorption in the visible spectrum and green photoluminescence are due to microcrystallites of the three-dimensional CsPbBr perovskite settled on the CsPbBr plates and that carefully cleaned crystal plates are devoid of these features.

The hydrostatic pressure exerted during the drilling operation is controlled by adding a weighting agent into drilling fluids. Various weighting materials such as barite, calcium carbonate, hematite, and ilmenite are used to increase the density of drilling fluids. Some weighting additives can cause serious drilling problems, including particle settling, formation damage, erosion, and insoluble filters.
