Human granulocytic anaplasmosis (HGA) is a tick-borne, infectious disease caused by that generally presents with nonspecific symptoms such as fever, chills, headache, malaise, and myalgia. If not treated immediately, HGA can cause hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a well-documented but underrecognized sequela of severe HGA. In this article, we report a case of severe HGA with hyperferritinemia in a 74-year-old male from Central Pennsylvania who initially presented with recurrent fevers, nausea, and malaise to our emergency department and was subsequently discharged home that same day. Ten days later, the patient returned with acute kidney injury, elevated liver transaminases, and profound hyperferritinemia to 5130 ng/mL. Empiric doxycycline was administered for suspected tick-borne disease and serologies eventually came back positive for anti- antibodies. The patient returned to baseline status 15 days after discharge. Our case shows the challenges in the timely diagnosis of HGA and highlights the role of serum ferritin in aiding this diagnosis. Although our patient did not fulfill the HLH diagnostic criteria, our report demonstrates the importance of recognizing HGA as a reversible cause of HLH.

Objectives: To study the predictive role of tumor-associated neutrophils in early luminal HER2-negative breast cancer.
Materials And Methods: This is a retrospective study conducted on 60 women cases aged from 31 to 79 years underwent surgery for luminal HER2-negative ductal breast cancer in tertiary care cancer centre. We first estimated basic morphological signs: tumor size, tumor grade (by Nottingham Histologic Score), tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), Lymphovascular invasion, hormonal receptors status, proliferative index, and regional lymph nodes metastasis.

Introduction: The AB-type toxin AIP56 is a key virulence factor of Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida (Phdp), inducing apoptosis in fish immune cells. The discovery of AIP56-like and AIP56-related toxins in diverse organisms, including human-associated Vibrio strains, highlights the evolutionary conservation of this toxin family, suggesting that AIP56 and its homologs may share conserved receptors across species.

Background: Type I interferonopathies including Aicardi-Goutiéres Syndrome (AGS) represent a heterogeneous group of clinical phenotypes. Herein, we present a Case with combined AGS and Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS)-a cohesinopathy-with comprehensive analysis of the immune and genomic abnormalities.
Case And Methods: A 20-year old man presented with chilblain lesions and resorption of distal phalanges of fingers and toes, somatic and psychomotor retardation, microcephaly, synophrys, hearing losing and other aberrancies consistent with the phenotype of CdLS.

Although an ongoing understanding of psoriasis vulgaris (PV) pathogenesis, little is known about the proteomic differences between moderate and severe psoriasis. In this cross-sectional study, we evaluated the proteomic differences between moderate and severe psoriasis using data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry (DIA-MS). 173 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) were significantly differentially expressed between the two groups.

Purpose: Basophils play a crucial role in immunoglobulin E-mediated allergic reactions and parasitic infections. Recently, a low basophil count was reported to be a poor prognostic indicator in patients with malignant tumors. This study aimed to investigate the cut-off value to evaluate the clinicopathological and prognostic significance of the basophil count in patients with gastric cancer.
