Bio-based polyamide 11 (PA11)-graphene nanocomposites with different filler concentrations (0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.5 and 3 wt%) were prepared by In Situ polymerization starting from a water dispersed suspension of graphene nanoplatelets. The effects of the incorporation of the filler were studied in terms of molecular, morphological, thermal and dynamic mechanical properties of the final materials. During the crystallization process from the melt, the filler induces a notable nucleating effect even if the crystal growth rate tends to decrease. The glass transition temperature tends to shift to higher temperatures indicating a decrement of the molecular mobility. Thermal stability is enhanced confirming a good filler dispersion into the matrix. Mechanical reinforcement, investigated by means of a dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer was also highlighted. It was observed that a graphene concentration of 0.75 wt% induces the highest final performances.

The male-specific lethal complex (MSL), which consists of five proteins and two non-coding roX RNAs, is involved in the transcriptional enhancement of X-linked genes to compensate for the sex chromosome monosomy in XY males compared with XX females. The MSL1 and MSL2 proteins form the heterotetrameric core of the MSL complex and are critical for the specific recruitment of the complex to the high-affinity 'entry' sites (HAS) on the X chromosome. In this study, we demonstrated that the N-terminal region of MSL1 is critical for stability and functions of MSL1.

In the current work, we aimed to evaluate the association of clinical data of Cushing's disease (CD) patients with mutation status and to study USP8-related molecular mechanisms connected to the regulation of corticotropinoma growth and activity. 35 CD patients were enrolled; the sequencing of exon 14 in revealed variants in eighteen adenomas, two of which were described for the first time in CD. variants were more common in women (94% vs.

The objective of this research is to fabricate waste-based alkali-activated foams with better properties in a quick time by using energy-efficient techniques such as microwave irradiation. The present study reports the effect of microwave heating parameters, including heating time and output power, on the properties of porous alkali-activated materials (AAMs) that use coal gangue (CG) as a precursor. The effects of concrete waste (CW) content (0-20 wt %) on the performance and microstructure of CG-based AAMs were investigated.

Background: In experimental and clinical studies of pharmacological treatments for Alzheimer's disease (AD), the electroencephalogram (EEG) frequency spectrum approach has demonstrated its efficacy in determining the characteristics of pathological changes in the functioning of different cerebral structures, interconnections between them, and disturbances in the brain neurotransmitter systems. The main results have been obtained in frames of traditionally used so-called "classical" EEG frequency bands: delta, theta, alpha, and beta.
Objective: This unified approach simplifies comparing data from different studies but loses the dynamic peculiarities of the effects because of their time-dependent transition through the borders of the "classical" bands.
