In 2008, a new species for the French bee fauna was recorded in Allauch near Marseille: the giant resin bee, (Smith, 1853). This was the first European record of this species that is native to East Asia. To our knowledge, it is the first introduced bee species in Europe. Here, we provide an overview of the current distribution of in France and we describe the history of its range expansion. Besides our own observations, information was compiled from literature and Internet websites, and by contacting naturalist networks. We collected a total of 117 records ( ×  combinations) for the 2008-2016 period. The geographical range of has extended remarkably, now occupying a third of continental France, with the most northern and western records located 335 and 520 km from Allauch, respectively. Information on its phenology, feeding, and nesting behavior is also provided. We report several events of nest occupation or eviction of sp. and sp. individuals by . Our results show that is now well established in France. Given its capacity to adapt and rapidly expand its range, we recommend amplifying the monitoring of this species to better anticipate the changes in its geographical range and its potential impacts on native bees.

Introduction: Prevalence estimates of opioid use disorder (OUD) at local levels are critical for public health planning and surveillance, yet largely unavailable across the US especially at the local county level.

Methods: We used a Bayesian evidence synthesis approach to estimate the prevalence of OUD for 57 counties across New York State for 2017-2019 and compare rates of OUD across counties as well as assess the extent of undiagnosed OUD. We developed a generative model to assess conditional probabilistic relations between different subgroups of the OUD population defined by diagnosis, treatment, and overdose fatality.

In this study, a pair of matured specimens of gilthead sea bream (Sparus aurata Linnaeus, 1758) were collected at a depth of approximately 20 m near Keelung Port, northern Taiwan (25°11'32″N, 121°47'8″E), on November 23, 2024. The specimens were identified and confirmed as S. aurata through both morphological and molecular analyses.

Article Synopsis
  • FT596 is a novel cancer therapy using iPSC-derived CAR NK cells targeting CD19, designed to assess its safe dosage and effectiveness alone and with rituximab in patients with B-cell lymphoma.
  • This phase 1 trial involved patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell lymphoma, administering FT596 after chemotherapy, with separate regimens for those receiving rituximab and those who did not.
  • The study measured potential side effects while determining the optimal dose of FT596 and allowed modifications to the treatment based on patient tolerance and response.
