Purpose: Cubital tunnel syndrome (CuTS) is the second most common upper-extremity neuropathy and can cause debilitating symptoms. Patients presenting to care with severe CuTS can be left with permanent weakness and numbness despite treatment. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between area-level deprivation and the severity of CuTS on presentation to a hand surgeon.

Delivery of antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) to airway epithelial cells is arduous due to the physiological barriers that protect the lungs and the endosomal entrapment phenomenon, which prevents ASOs from reaching their intracellular targets. Various delivery strategies involving peptide-, lipid-, and polymer-based carriers are being investigated, yet the challenge remains. S10 is a peptide-based delivery agent that enables the intracellular delivery of biomolecules such as GFP, CRISPR-associated nuclease ribonucleoprotein (RNP), base editor RNP, and a fluorescent peptide into lung cells after intranasal or intratracheal administrations to mice, ferrets, and rhesus monkeys.

Peroneal nerve entrapment, typically associated with behaviors like cross-legged sitting or squatting, can also occur from extended periods of lying down where the lower limbs usually assume a position of hip external rotation and knee flexion. In such positions, the fibular head's prominence can exert sustained pressure on the peroneal nerve. We report three cases of unilateral peroneal neuropathy in intensive care unit (ICU) patients during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, highlighting the possible role of prolonged supine or lateral decubitus positions in the development of this condition.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to determine the incidence, necessity for neurosurgical intervention, and overall results of the treatment of pediatric peripheral nerve injuries associated with dislocated supracondylar fractures of the distal humerus.
Method: A retrospective analysis of pediatric patients with supracondylar fractures treated from April 2019 to April 2022 with a minimum follow-up of 3 months was conducted.
Results: Of 453 included patients, there were 51 recorded peripheral nerve injuries.

Introduction: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a commonly seen, preventable, and treatable disease with permanent respiratory symptoms and air entrapment that is caused by particle exposure. In case of limited response to traditional treatment protocols, lung volume reduction may be performed in patients with emphysema dominant patterns. In this study, long term follow-up results of the patients who had been operated on by minimal invasive bronchoscopic lung volume reduction surgery by coil placement were reported.
