Marburg virus disease (MVD) is a severe infectious disease characterized by fever and profound hemorrhage caused by the Marburg virus (MARV), with a mortality rate reaching 90%, posing a significant threat to humans. MARV lies in its classification as a biosafety level four (BSL-4) pathogen, which demands stringent experimental conditions and substantial funding. Therefore, accessible and practical animal models are urgently needed to advance prophylactic and therapeutic strategies for MARV.

Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a type of primary immunodeficiency that presents as a heterogenous disorder characterized by hypogammaglobinemia, poor response to vaccines, recurrent sinopulmonary infections, and can have noninfectious systemic manifestations. We performed a single-center, retrospective, observational study of five patients with noninfectious complications of CVID. All patients had CVID as defined by the European Society of Immunodeficiencies criteria and had received intravenous immunoglobulin therapy.

Isatuximab, an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody, has been shown to induce apoptosis in multiple myeloma (MM) cells and is effective in both relapsed/refractory and newly diagnosed MM cases. This study aims to compare the safety profile of isatuximab by examining a broader range of adverse events (AEs) using data from the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) and a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). The study analyzed FAERS data up to March 2024, identifying suspected AEs using Preferred Terms.
