Background: Cervical radiculopathy is a common disease that affects millions of people. Patients usually are managed by conservative therapy and surgical treatments.

Objective: To compare the clinical outcomes between cervical disc arthroplasty (CDA) and conservative management for patients with single level cervical radiculopathy at C5/6.

Methods: Seventy-two patients with cervical radiculopathy that only affect C5/6 joints were included and thirty-two of them received CDA surgery, and forty patients were treated with conservative management. All the patients were followed up around 4 years. Cervical curvature, cervical range of motion (CROM), horizontal displacement of cervical spine, and intervertebral gap were measured by radiological examination.

Results: All the patients have comparable disease severity based on pre-surgical radiological assessments. At the 4-year follow-up examination, patients with CDA surgery had less CROM at C5/6 level, while greater CROM at C4/5 level, than control group. Similarly, the horizontal displacement in CDA group decreased at C5/6 vertebrae, and increased at C4/5 level at the 4-year follow-up examination. The intervertebral gaps of patients in CDA group were larger than control group at one-year and last follow-up examination.

Conclusion: CDA surgery stabilized C5/6 vertebrae and increased the CROM and horizontal displacement of upper adjacent C4/5 vertebrae.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the relationship between preoperative cervical intervertebral foramen width and area and the persistence of postoperative pain in patients diagnosed with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR).

Methods: Patients were divided into two groups, based on their pain relief at the 6-month postoperative follow-up: the pain relief group and the persistent pain group. We compared various parameters, including age, sex, body mass index (BMI), duration of symptoms, preoperative Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) score, Neck Disability Index (NDI) score, postoperative ratio of disc space distraction, preoperative width of the intervertebral foramen (WIVF), and area of the intervertebral foramen (AIVF) between the two groups.

Lyme neuroborreliosis can present with isolated neurological manifestations, posing diagnostic challenges, especially in the absence of hallmark dermatological symptoms like erythema migrans. This case highlights a patient with isolated cervical radiculopathy due to Lyme neuroborreliosis, presenting without systemic features such as fever, arthralgia, or rash. The diagnosis was confirmed through serological testing, with positive findings on the Western blot.

Introduction: Cervical foraminotomy is a procedure used to treat patients with radiculopathy. While the procedure can be performed using a minimally invasive technique, achieving complete visualization of relevant anatomy can be challenging. This study explores the use of patient-specific three-dimensional (3D) printed anatomical models, created from advanced medical imaging data, for preoperative planning and intraoperative guidance in cervical foraminotomy by comparing fluoroscopy time, operative time, estimated blood loss volume, and functional improvement.

Osteoporotic vertebral fractures (OVF) commonly occur at the thoracolumbar junction, and delayed neurological deficits are rare. Here, a 76-year-old female presented with low back pain and the late onset of symptoms characterized by lumbar radiculopathy. She had been suffering from lower back pain for four weeks and developed lumbar radiculopathy in the left L3 area.
