The main characteristic feature of the pediatric mandible is that of decreased dimension, which leads to compromises in the open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF). In the dental segment, the cervically bulbous short stature primary teeth might act an obstacle during the maxillomandibular fixation conventionally. An increased osteogenic potential of bones favors rapid consolidation and remodeling in the affected region. The mixed dentition of the ugly duckling stage adds more burden while stabilizing the fractured segments. The main goal of the clinician is to achieve and restore the facial appearance and function. Hereby, we present a clinical challenge depicting a 9-year-old male with mandibular angle fracture managed by miniplate and monocortical screws fixation. Shunmugavelu K, Subramaniam K. Management of Mandibular Angle Fracture in a 9-year-old with Miniplate and Monocortical Screws: A Clinical Challenge. Int J Clin Pediatr Dent 2017;10(4):391-393.

Purpose: This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the relationship between occipital spur (OS) with both craniocervical posture and craniofacial morphology.
Methods: The study involved 240 lateral cephalograms from subjects with and without OS. The craniocervical posture and facial morphology of every individual were assessed through Uceph software analysis of their cephalograms, considering 32 variables.

Twin block appliances are commonly used to treat skeletal class II malocclusion. However, many adverse effects, such as lower incisor protrusion and a bulky nature, can be observed. To overcome these effects, a modified twin block was designed, which uses vacuum-formed hard plates (VFPs) instead of acrylic plates.

Objectives: This study aims to assess the alterations in condylar positioning in adult skeletal Class I patients with unilateral posterior crossbite after microimplant-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) treatment.
Methods: This retrospective study involving 30 participants (10 males, 20 females) average age 22.9 ± 4.
Objectives: To examine tooth root length and root volume in cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images in patients with skeletal Class II and III anomalies who have undergone single-jaw (SJ) and double-jaw (DJ) orthognathic surgery, and to compare the changes between jaws with and without osteotomy.
Materials And Methods: This study was conducted on the archive records of a total of 60 adults: 36 women and 24 men with an average age of 21.1 ± 3.

The literature suggests that the cranial base angle is considered one of the contributing factors to sagittal jaw malpositions when its relationship with the viscerocranium is examined. Our study aims to compare and evaluate the outcomes of fixed functional orthopedic treatment in patients with mandibular retrognathia across different cranial base groups. Participants were treated at Erciyes University with fixed functional appliances and categorized by CBA into low (<130°), medium (130°-134°), and high (>134°) groups.
