We present a novel approach to achieve spatial variations in the degree of non-covalent functionalization of twisted bilayer graphene (tBLG). The tBLG with twist angles varying between ~5° and 7° was non-covalently functionalized with 1,4,5,8,9,11-hexaazatriphenylenehexacarbonitrile (HATCN) molecules. Our results show a correlation between the degree of functionalization and the twist angle of tBLG.

LiMnHf(NCN) and LiMnZr(NCN) were prepared solid-state metathesis reactions either a more exothermic direct reaction between LiNCN, MnCl and HfCl or a milder two-step reaction in which ternary LiZr(NCN) was first prepared and subsequently reacted with MnF. Their crystal structures were determined from powder X-ray diffraction data and found to crystallize isotypically in low-symmetry variants of the [NiAs]-type MNCN structure with 3̄1 symmetry and comprise corundum-like [(NCN)] layers ( = Hf, Zr) alternating with [LiMn(NCN)] layers. In-depth chemical bonding analysis was undertaken using LOBSTER to calculate the Löwdin charges which reveal significant differences in covalency between the two metal layers that is also reflected in the crystal orbital bond indices (COBI) of the metal-nitrogen bonds as well as the carbon-nitrogen bonds that show distinct single and triple bond character, which is also evident from infrared spectroscopy measurements.

Therefore, this scoping review aimed to examine publications on computer-assisted PLV preparation to identify the key stage of digital workflows involved in designing and fabricating stereolithographic templates, as well as to highlight the limitations of various template designs.

Layered framework materials, a rapidly advancing class of porous materials, are composed of molecular components stitched together via covalent bonds and are usually synthesized through wet-chemical methods. Computational infrared (IR) and Raman spectra are among the most important characterization tools for this material class. Besides the known spectra of the molecular building blocks and the solvent, they allow for monitoring of the framework formation during synthesis.
