Background: Legacy brominated flame retardants have been recognized as risky factors leading to declined sperm quality. The widespread utilization of decabromodiphenyl ethane (DBDPE) as a replacement for decabromodiphenyl ether has given rise to considerable concern over its potential risks to reproductive health.
Objectives: The objectives were to quickly determine whether DBDPE affects sperm quality upon exposure, to reveal the reproductive outcomes and underlying molecular mechanisms using an zebrafish model exposed to DBDPE, and to validate the potential impact on DNA damage and energy metabolism balance .

The aim of this study was to probe the dynamics of PA14 air-liquid interface (ALI) biofilms over time through global proteomic analysis. PA14 ALI biofilm samples, collected over 48-144 h, underwent differential expression analysis to identify varying proteins at each time point. A consistent set of 778 proteins was identified, with variable expression over time.

Protein structure prediction has now been deployed widely across several different large protein sets. Large-scale domain annotation of these predictions can aid in the development of biological insights. Using our Evolutionary Classification of Protein Domains (ECOD) from experimental structures as a basis for classification, we describe the detection and cataloging of domains from 48 whole proteomes deposited in the AlphaFold Database.
