There is limited research focussed around the analysis of internal and external load parameters during football health programmes. The aim of this study was to assess the reliability of internal and external load parameters in this activity. Thrity subjects were enrolled (mean ± SDs; age = 43 ± 3 years, weight = 84 ± 14 kg, height = 176 ± 7 cm, BMI = 27.1 ± 3, VOmax = 40.7 ± 3.4 mlkgmin). The football matches (five a-side) took place on an artificial grass outdoor field (pitch size of 36 × 18.5 m). Participants completed the match (60 min) and replicated the same match a week later. The analysis took into account several parameters: heart rate (HR), total distance (TD), high speed running (HSR), number of accelerations (>2 ms) and metabolic power (MP). We found a good score of reliability in several parameters: TD (ICC = 0.66), accelerations (ICC = 0.62), mean HR (ICC = 0.82), HSR (ICC = 0.77) and MP (ICC = 0.66). The results reported in this study revealed good scores of absolute reliability and small/trivial effect size.

Background: The spread of fake news may lead to a disparate wave of digital health-seeking behavior, cyberchondria, anxiety, indecision, and other psychosocial dysfunctions, including collapse in social capital and stigmatization. In this study, we utilized a bibliometric analysis to discern the primary trends associated with health communication and health-seeking behavior regarding dementia-related contents in countries within the Middle East and North African (MENA) region.

Method: A literature review was conducted in November 2023.

Alzheimer's Disease International, London, United Kingdom.

Background: The ADI Accreditation Programme, launched in December 2020, aims to support all Alzheimer and dementia associations and other organizations, in improving care for people living with dementia. By providing a standards-based approach to knowledge and skills, ADI establishes benchmarks that program providers must adhere to. Successful completion of an evaluation allows carers, trainers & program providers to earn ADI Accreditation, indicating that they have reached the required global standard for their training and learning activities, including culturally appropriate context to improve care quality.

Unlabelled: Accurate assessment of shoulder range of motion (ROM) is crucial for evaluating patient progress. Traditional manual goniometry often lacks precision and is subject to inter-observer variability, especially in measuring shoulder internal rotation (IR). This study introduces an artificial intelligence (AI)-based approach that uses clinical photography to improve the accuracy of ROM quantification.

Enhanced diagnosis of pes planus and pes cavus using deep learning-based segmentation of weight-bearing lateral foot radiographs: a comparative observer study.

Unlabelled: A weight-bearing lateral radiograph (WBLR) of the foot is a gold standard for diagnosing adult-acquired flatfoot deformity. However, it is difficult to measure the major axis of bones in WBLR without using auxiliary lines. Herein, we develop semantic segmentation with a deep learning model (DLm) on the WBLR of the foot for enhanced diagnosis of pes planus and pes cavus.

Aqueous two-phase systems (ATPSs) have primarily been developed in the form of emulsions to enhance their utilization in green and biocompatible applications. However, numerous challenges have arisen in forming stable and processable water-in-water (W/W) emulsion systems, as well as in fine-tuning the interconnectivity of their internal structure, which can significantly impact their performance. To effectively address these challenges, we elucidate, for the first time, the root cause of the poor stability of W/W emulsions.
