Care home nurses could benefit from more informed, tailored, and targeted pharmacy support when undertaking medicine administration. Importance: Pediatric peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC) insertion can be difficult and time-consuming, frequently requiring multiple insertion attempts and often resulting in increased anxiety, distress, and treatment avoidance among children and their families. Ultrasound-guided PIVC insertion is a superior alternative to standard technique (palpation and visualization) in high-risk patients.

Objective: To compare first-time insertion success of PIVCs inserted with ultrasound guidance compared with standard technique (palpation and visualization) across all risk categories in the general pediatric hospital population.

Ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is a common pathogenic situation that arises throughout all liver surgeries, including liver transplants. We aimed to compare the preventive effects of valsartan (VST) against valsartan + sacubitril (LCZ696) on hepatic injury caused by IRI. A total of thirty-six male Westar albino rats were split into six groups randomly: sham, IRI, VST + IRI, LCZ696 + IRI, VST, and LCZ696.

Virus budding is a critical step in the replication cycle of enveloped viruses, closely linked to viral spread, disease progression, and clinical outcomes. The budding of many enveloped RNA viruses is facilitated by the hijacking of the host endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) proteins through viral late domains. These late domains are essential for progeny virus production and are highly conserved, making the interaction between late domains and host ESCRT proteins a potential target for the development of antiviral therapeutics.
