Introduction And Importance: Dilation and stretching of the collecting system of the kidney due to obstruction of urine flow is called hydronephrosis. This case may be accompanied by the presence of pus known as pyonephrosis. This case report reporting massive pyonephrosis in pediatrics related to management and source of control.

A 73-year-old man who had undergone esophagectomy and retrosternal gastric tube reconstruction for esophageal cancer 8 years prior was transferred to our hospital for the treatment of an acute myocardial infarction. Emergent percutaneous coronary intervention for the left anterior descending artery (#7) was successfully performed. However, echocardiography revealed a ventricular septal rupture (25×27 mm).

Background: The treatment of hepatolithiasis in patients who underwent hepaticojejunostomy (HJS) is challenging. In this study, we aimed to clarify the therapeutic outcomes of double balloon enteroscopy (DBE) and percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) for hepatolithiasis after HJS.
Methods: Patients who underwent DBE or PTBD for hepatolithiasis after HJS at Hiroshima University Hospital were enrolled, and treatment outcomes and recurrence were compared.

Background: Obstructive complications in the Fontan circulation pose significant risks to affected patients. Traditional management strategies may be insufficient, necessitating innovative treatment approaches. This case report discusses the use of the FlowTriever Retrieval System for percutaneous aspiration thrombectomy in a patient with a history of Fontan procedure who developed conduit obstruction due to thrombus formation.

Objective: This study aims to compare two different drainage methods, percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN) and retrograde ureteral double-J (DJ) stent insertion, in patients with obstructive pyelonephritis (OP).
Methods: The study included 77 patients who presented to the emergency department due to stones. Type of decompression treatment (PCN or DJ stent), fever, white blood cell count (WBC), C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, urine culture, blood culture, presence of additional diseases, and antibiotic treatment were evaluated for these patients.
